The management of La Vie Shopping centre has announced that it is re-opening its stores on Monday the 4th of May.
As per the decisions announced by the Regional Government with regards to re-launching the economy, La Vie management say they are now in a position to guarantee the resumption of activities and ‘a return to normal as possible.’
Within a couple of hours of hearing the news, all ‘tenants’ were contacted. Ensuring the safety of both employees and shoppers is of paramount importance, and new contingency, safety and hygiene plans are already in place. Furthermore, the management has agreed that the reactivation of the economy should undergo a conscious evolution and that measures such as mandatory mask-wearing will be implemented. In addition, they will create pre-defined entrance and exits, control of the number of people allowed into the area at any one time as well as reducing the car parking capacity to one-third of its original space.
Cleaning services are to be increased to ensure they comply with all recommendations, and vigilance will be maintained to ensure that social distancing is adhered to. Moreover, all shopping centre and commercial employees will be subject to two temperature checks per day.
The centres operating hours will return to normal with the car park opening at 07:00 – 23:00 and shops opening from 09:00 – 22:00. Restaurants in the food court will be providing a takeaway service, and all hairdressing appointments must be pre-booked.
It is worth remembering that La Vie Shopping Centre has been open throughout the whole lockdown period, but only shops that could be secured and adequately protected were allowed to open.
