Paulo Cafôfo – We Cannot Drive Portugal Day Underground

Paulo Cafôfo affirms that “the 25th of April cannot be driven underground and that the values it stands for can never be forgotten. Autonomy is the result of a peaceful revolution, and its values remain ever-present today. However, it is a day that we all need to experience, both in Lisbon and Madeira.”

The PS deputy went on to express his sympathy to the those affected by the Câmara de Lobos lockdown and said that more tests are needed to isolate cases and allow the economy to move forward.

Finally, he reiterated that the island needs to concentrate on three main objectives: re-energise tourism; increase productivity and intensify regional production.
