A private jet from northern Spain landed at Madeira Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport this afternoon to refuel. According to information available, the plane is travelling south, but its ultimate destination remains unknown.
Although not unusual, it is rare, especially as we are in a State of Emergency, which has effectively left Madeira Airport handing seven flights a week. Two TAP commercial passenger flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and five cargo transport flights operated by Swiftair from Monday to Friday.
The last regular international aircraft into Madeira airport was an EasyJet flight from Gatwick on the 29th of March.
