Third Day Without Any New Cases Registered

The Regional Secretary of Health confirmed that today is the third day without any new positive cases of infection in the region. While giving his daily debrief he said, “Madeira is currently a region in the country that has had zero cases for three consecutive days, but we cannot say any more than that, except they are three very positive days. Even though our results are meeting our expectations, we cannot relax as we will only know if we have successfully controlled the pandemic after two incubation cycles.”

Furthermore, Pedro Ramos pointed out that he was getting tired of the discrepancies between the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) figures and those reported by IÀSAUDE, saying that “Madeira is not to blame for this situation.”
