Between 6 pm yesterday, when IASAÚDE announced that Madeira had 34 positive Covid-19 cases, and as of 00.00 today, the Directorate-General for Health (DGS), registered an increase of nine cases. In two days, therefore, Madeira’s coronavirus count has almost doubled.
However, the DGS data, information appears to be inconsistent with the figures presented by the Madeira Health Authority, which show an increase of 8 cases in Funchal. The capital now has a total of twenty-three people affected by the virus.
In Santa Cruz, two more cases are awaiting registration. Câmara de Lobos has six cases and Ponta do Sol, five.
So whose figures are correct are anybody’s business!
