Things to do at home now

What to do now:

• The 29th of March heralds the first day of spring, so what better way to start the new season than a thorough spring clean.
• Find new recipes and cook them with your family.
• Make playdough and have a fun afternoon with your children.
• Potato printing with children.
• Use the time to play board or card games, or word games.
• Colouring or creative activities such as art, writing, crochet, knitting, macramé. There are plenty of online tutorials, and most of the supermarkets sell colouring pencils, felt tip pens, writing materials and string.
• Catch up with any paperwork.
• Network: now is the time to create that new website, design a flyer for your business, write an action plan for when things get back to normal again.
• Take the time to read or re-read your favourite book. Do a jigsaw puzzle or tax your brain with Suduko, Mahjong or crossword puzzle.
• Enjoy the Garden
• Find a free online Portuguese course or learn another language.

Enjoy your Garden now!

With everything that is going on in the world, now is the time to enjoy your garden. You’ve worked hard at it and now, sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labour. Listen to the hum of bees, delight in a butterfly’s featherweight and sit back and smell the roses. You may not be able to go out, but you can stay in your garden, ponder, wonder and rejoice at being alive.
