Binter Considers Cancelling Flights

Binter Airlines, which has the concession of the Madeira – Porto Santo route, admits that it will be forced to cancel a large part of its inter-island connections or reduce its operational timetable given the substantial restrictions imposed by the Regional Government.

Although Binter is still analysing the constraints, a company source says that it is not yet possible to specify what measures are going to be taken.  However, they have confirmed that the airline recommends that people refrain from flying to Madeira saying “We will have to review schedules, cancel flights and perhaps cancel our proposed summer routes.

As of 00:00 this morning all passengers entering Madeira will undergo an enforced quarantine.
