Coronavirus and Pets – Update

The Veterinary Hospital of Madeira has categorically stated that “there is no evidence that pets can be infected or transmit Coronavirus (Covid-19).”

In a publication on social networks, the institution says that anyone suffering from the virus should extend the same protective measures to their pets as they would to other people.  They further added that “vaccines against canine coronavirus are aimed at enteric infection and are NOT suitable for respiratory infections such as Covid-19.”
