Dog Thrown in Levada is on The Mend

The dog that was rescued late at night on the 3rd of January from  Levada do Norte, between Campanário and Ribeira Brava, by the association Ajuda a Alimentar Cães, is said to be improving.

Norte as he has been named suffered multiple fractures throughout his body. Volunteers from Ajuda a Alimentar Cães took him immediately to the Madeira Veterinary Hospital where he underwent a CT scan.  It is also said that his injuries were visible to the naked eye.  However, the little dog is a fighter and it is hoped that he will survive his injuries.

Despite an appeal and reward for information of the whereabouts of his owners, no one has come forward with any details with regards to the incident.
