The Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation (IFCN) has issued a statement saying that part of the Levada das 25 Fontes, in Rabaçal, Calheta is closed due to a landslide.
Although the walk remains open, the IFCN has asked all walkers to be careful as they will not be able to comply with the existing one-way signage. It also begs everyone to use their common sense and respect each other by allowing people to pass in safe places.
The press release ends by saying that they are working on the site to remove the debris and will re-open the damaged section as soon as possible.
