This morning a group of children, accompanied by teachers took part in the Municipal Garden’s, ‘Let’s decorate a Christmas Tree,’ project. The children, mostly from infant schools and kindergartens, had the pleasurable task of decorating some of the eleven, five-metre trees placed strategically placed around the Municipal Garden auditorium. A second group of children will be finishing the final decorations tomorrow morning.
The decorations, made from recyclable materials are part of a school project to encourage children to create their Christmas decorations from recyclable materials.
For those with small children, the Municipal Garden will be hosting several activities, including traditional games from the 11th of December with the Camacha Children’s Folk Group supporting this initiative. On the 14th face painters will be creating a little festive magic in Santa’s Little House located within the Garden.
