A Total of 11,441 Passengers and Crew Arrive in Funchal

The port of Funchal was crowded this morning as four liners docked in the harbour while a fifth, MV Zenith remained anchored in the bay, later docking once the MSC Poesia left.

A sixth arrival, the 400-berth, 180-crew Berlin is also expected to arrive later this afternoon and will dock when the MV Zenith departs at 5 pm.

First to arrive, was Mein Schiff 3 who moored last night. Coming from Las Palmas, the ship is carrying 2337 passengers and 993 crew and left port at 2 pm this afternoon. The MSC Poetry is on a transatlantic voyage and left at 1 pm en-route to Fortaleza, Brazil. The MV Zenith arrived from Tenerife with 924 passengers and 574 crew and will sail back to the Canary Islands this afternoon. Finally AIDAstella moored early this morning, coming from Las Palmas with 2130 passengers and 622 crew. The ship will leave at 8 am tomorrow for Lanzarote.
