After being replaced in last Sunday’s 1-0 match against AC Milan, Cristiano Ronaldo headed straight for the dressing room and left the stadium before the end of the game.
Following a report in La Gazzetta Dello Sport, and quoted by DN Lisboa, the Vecchia signora will convene a meeting where Pavel Nedved (Vice Chairman of Juventus Board of Directors) and Fabio Paratici (Sporting Director for Juventus) will talk to Ronaldo, making him understand that his grumpy attitude is not helping his teammates.
According to the same sources, Nedved contacted Jorge Mendes, the footballer’s manager on Sunday night to discuss his behaviour. Although Ronaldo will not be fined for leaving a match early, he will have to explain and apologise to his teammates. When asked about his behaviour, team coach Maurizio Sarri, refusing to be drawn deeper into the incident said, ‘If he’s gone, he’ll have to work it out with his teammates.’
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo is preparing for Portugal’s Euro 2020 matches against Lithuania on Thursday the 14th at 19.45, and Luxembourg on Sunday the 17th at 14.00.
