British actor, comedian and Monty Python co-founder John Cleese, has announced that he is performing his ‘Last time to see me before I die’ show at the Lisbon Coliseum on the 7th of May.
At eighty-year-old, John Cleese shows no sign of slowing down. The show, which premiered in 2013 has gone from strength to strength, with the legendary Mr Cleese performing in sold-out venues throughout Europe, the United States and Canada.
Described by his promoter as an ‘unavoidable and legendary idol of the 60s, 70s and 80s generations,’ he is known for the dark humour and absurdity of Monty Python, and his much loved and repeated television sitcom Fawlty Towers, who he wrote with his ex-wife Connie Booth.
The actor, who in 2014 edited his autobiography ‘Now, as I said …’ was a strong supporter of the UK’s departure from the European Union, however, disappointed at the lack of cohesion and commitment by the British government in the Brexit debate he moved to the Caribbean in 2018.
Tickets go on sale on Saturday, priced €20 to €90.
