From October 31st to November 10th, the II Festival of Francesinhas will take place at Praça Amarela. After its success in 2018, the festival returns showcasing one of North Portugal’s traditional dishes. And as such, some of Porto’s chefs will be bringing to Funchal the nations favourite sauce as well as a few surprises.
In a press statement, the organisers said that the choice of date takes into account the time of year, as a “Francesinha, with a hot sauce, tastes so much better in the colder weather.
To reduce the amount plastic used and disposed of the organisers have stressed that this year all food will be served on either clay or glass dishes.
