A mountain rescue team from the Santana Volunteer Firefighting Brigade is currently carrying out a rescue mission in Vereda do Caldeirão Verde.
According to firefighters, an individual had an accident near the Caldeirão do Inferno, and rescue teams are in place to assist the victim.
As yet, no further details have been released.
