According to South Korean newspaper, The Chosun Ilbo, Seoul police have decided to open an investigation into Cristiano Ronaldo, Juventus and TheFasta (the company responsible for organising the game) for possible ‘fraud’ in last Friday’s friendly against South Korea, where Juventus drew three – three.
The publication states that the fraud allegations have come about due to complaints from around 2,000 football fans who paid to watch Cristiano Ronaldo play. Unfortunately, he didn’t, and therefore, fans have demanded compensation from TheFasta.
Officials told the Seoul paper ‘that if there is no clear evidence of willful deception the case will be dropped. However, the fans could pursue their claim through the civil courts.
