The signing of an agreement between the Regional Secretary for Health (SESARAM) and Janssen; the pharmaceutical company of Johnson & Johnson, has created a new initiative which aims to increase health literacy in Madeira.
Over the next two years, a platform will be created, which will allow Madeiran citizens to have access to their medical files. By September this year, residents will be able to receive alerts, obtain useful information about consultations, vaccines and screenings that have been booked or recommended by doctors. People will also be able to include data such as age, gender, blood pressure and their Body Mass Index (BMI).
The signing will be attended by Regional Health Secretary, Pedro Ramos.
