Madeiran student, António Emanuel Abreu from the Francisco Franco High School, Funchal will be taking part in the Biology Olympics at the University of Algarve on the 26th and 28th of April alongside 39 other candidates.
The Biology Olympics are organised by the ‘Order of Biologists’ and is a science competition for both public and private students in both primary and secondary education. The contest is divided into two categories: Junior Olympics (Basic Education) and Senior Olympics (Secondary Education). This year’s competition has attracted hundreds of competitors including five Madeirans.
With the final approaching, António Emanuel Abreu will have to complete three practical laboratory tests as well as a written theoretical/practical test.
